Have you discovered the Mercantile on Main? It is a new urban eatery inside of Sibley Square featuring local food vendors offering a selection of some of the best food on offer.
“It’s part of the reactivation of Main Street. It’s a downtown meeting place like no other.”, says Ken Greene, co-founder. “We believed in the idea that our vendors could provide $10 meals in about 10 minutes.”
REDCO signed on to help the project from the outset. “We saw an opportunity to present mixed community food vendors in a space that helps attract people to downtown and create new jobs. All while revitalizing one of Rochester’s most iconic buildings. It was an easy decision.”, said REDCO CEO Baye Muhammad.
The space was designed to offer a cashless environment that was created with social distancing in the forefront. “People asked if we were actually going to open restaurants during COVID. We have state of the art filtered air, and plenty of space for customers to relax and feel safe.”, said Greene.
